Ben is a Scotland-based destination wedding photographer with seventeen years of experience and a background in fashion, film stills, music videos and documentary work. He photographs every wedding on both digital and 35mm film, blending relaxed documentary storytelling with an editorial eye.

My approach

My editorial approach comes from how I see things, not from asking you to perform for the camera. I’ll find the light and offer a little direction when needed, but most of the time I’ll give you space just to be together.

More than anything, I want you to enjoy your wedding — to feel at ease with me there, and free to give your attention to each other and the people around you. You can care deeply about the photographs without spending the day thinking about them.

The photographs I love making are expressive, intimate, honest, relaxed, playful, observational, artful, instinctive, fluid, romantic, joyful, spontaneous and discreet.
