Romantic Micro-wedding in Edinburgh

Steph and Adam met seven years ago while studying in Bologna. She’s from Australia, he grew up in Edinburgh, and they now live in the city with their puppy Milo. Their wedding was fast-tracked for the most important of family reasons, and the day itself was wonderful.

They married at Edinburgh City Chambers with just 20 of their favourite people, then celebrated over dinner at Cannonball Restaurant. In between, the three of us spent a golden hour wandering from St Giles Cathedral down the Royal Mile, through Advocates Close and the Writer’s Museum Courtyard, and along Victoria Street in gorgeous winter sun. Edinburgh in that light is hard to beat.

We finished with a quick whisky at The Black Bull before heading back up to Cannonball, where the guests were waiting at two candlelit trestle tables. The whole day had this beautiful mix of romance and real emotion. Exactly what a micro-wedding should feel like. If you’re curious what a bigger day at the same venue looks like, Maxine and Chiran’s City Chamber’s wedding is a good contrast.
